Gabriel’s Message
Gabriel
I know it’s a shock, it’s very strange
To find an angel here by your bed,
But please understand – I have great news.
Hear me out, take heed of what God said.
Sing with me now, Mary,
Come sing with me now.
I’m bringing great news for you:
Our God’s coming down!
ALL
He says you’ve been chosen for a role,
For a task you just won’t believe.
God has a message for us all,
Giving hope to those who will receive.
Sing with me now …. (etc)
So halleluiah, Mary! Yes this is true!
God himself is coming to us,
And coming through you!
Praise the Lord now Mary,
‘Cos He’s proving this to you,
There is absolutely nothing He can’t do.
I know you must think it’s rather strange,
It’s not news you get every day.
Don’t be afraid, you’re not alone,
God will be right with you all the way.
Sing with me now … (etc)
There’s just one more thing that you should know:
You’ll have guests the day you give birth.
They’ll follow a star high in the sky,
Leading to the saviour come to earth.
Sing with me now … (etc)
….Sing with me now …. (etc)
Journey of the Magi
The road is long and hard
But we must keep going.
The stones dig in our feet,
But we follow the star.
Our minds are lost and confused....
What will we see when we get there?
We hardly know where we are:
We follow the star
Our loads are hard to bear,
But we must keep going.
How long before we’re there,
As we follow the star?
Our minds are lost …. (etc)
(Our loads are hard to bear.
How long before we’re there?)
We hardly know where we are:
We follow the star.
(Our loads are hard to bear.
How long before we’re there?)
We hardly know where we are:
We follow the star.
One Bright Star
Shepherd
Suddenly my eyes were dazzled,
I could hardly see at all.
The music in my ears:
Such a heav’nly call!
As I stood I felt a wonder
That I’ve never felt before.
Although my heart was full
I just wanted more.
And then as we shepherds listened,
We heard angels sing on high:
Our Saviour had been born!
Praises filled the sky!
So the celebration started
As the life of Christ began.
The King of love was born
For the sake of man.
One bright star shone out that night,
Bring hope to all mankind.
One bright star shone out to say: ‘He is born!’
One bright start that promised peace
And no more fighting,
One bright star, (after v3: One bright star)
Just one bright star (after v3: One bright star)
Just one bright star to take us there:
Then we knew just what to do,
So we ran to find the child,
To see the new-born King,
Welcome Him in style.
And we gave our minds and hearts
On this very special night
To baby Jesus,
Son of Man and God’s pure light.
One bright star shone out ……..
…. One bright star! (4 time)
King Herod
Herod
There’s one sov’reign, and that’s me.
The rules are made by my decree.
So what’s this rubbish I’ve heard today
That a baby’s been born who will
take my crown away?
All
None who cross him stay alive.
You change your tune, you might survive.
He’s got a plan to do away
With the silly young brat who they
say is born today.
All the first-borns face the chop
If you want this rumour to stop.
The Jewish King must fight him first!
He’s in charge round here, so let the
baby do his worst!
Herod
There’s one sov’reign, and that’s me.
The rules are made by my decree.
ALL He is Herod, and he is king:
He’s ruler over everything!
Welcome, Jesus!
Mary
He’s so beautiful.
The glory of heaven shines through Him.
Such joy he brings
To those who trust Him!
He’s so wonderful, The light of a million people.
Such peace he brings
To those who trust Him!
ALL
Welcome, Jesus, to the world you made:
Welcome Lord Jesus to the world
You made.
ALL
Gold and frankincense –
All that is precious to us –
Gold and frankincense,
We give to you.
From our simple hearts
All that we have we offer –
From our simple hearts
We give to you.
Welcome, Jesus,
To the world you made:
Welcome Lord Jesus to the world,
Welcome Lord Jesus to the world
Welcome Lord Jesus to the world
you made.
And we gave our minds and hearts
On this very special night
To baby Jesus,
Son of Man and God’s pure light.
One bright star shone out

Our trip
We are all having a wonderful time at KingsWood. They have all learnt a wide range of skills. The children have participated in problem solving activities, archery (which Mr Wade beat Mrs Brown at :), indoor and outdoor climbing, go-karting and the infamous leap of faith!!!
The children have also visited the beach where they searched for sea life. We have also visited the forest where we looked for and studied mini-beasts. They have also had a SingStar karaoke session and a boogie at the disco.
Anyway, we hope that you enjoy the pictures and videos…
